CaterSafe Consultants Level 2 Award in Health, Safety and Hygiene within a Food Business

A food a premises is a great place to work, but it is also acknowledged to be a potentially hazardous place to work! This qualification takes the key aspects of Health and Safety and Food Safety and applies them within the context of a food business.

The overarching objective of the qualification is to provide candidates with knowledge of the basic health, safety and hygiene practices which are essential within a food business within the catering, manufacturing or retail sectors. This includes the recognition of hazards and risks, along with the relevant and specific legislation, and will provide employees with an awareness of their own safety, as well as the safety of colleagues, customers, contractors and members of the public. This qualification is applicable for any one, working within the food industry.
