Internal Quality Assurance Qualifications

CaterSafe Consultants currently deliver three Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualifications. These accredited qualifications are designed for those working in, or intending to work in, a role as an internal quality assurer. It is also ideal for those who do not actually wish to work in this role, but do require a greater understanding of the processes and practices involved. These qualifications have been revised and rewritten by LLUK, the sector skills council, and replace the V1 award for internal verifiers.

HABC Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF)

This qualification is for those who desire to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance without any requirement to practice.

Guided learning hours: 45 hours

Credit value: 6 credits

Assessment method: Candidate portfolio

 HABC Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF)

This qualification is for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

Guided learning hours: 90 hours

Credit value: 12 credits

Assessment method: Candidate portfolio

 HABC Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF)

This qualification is for those who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff. The qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence, which is internally quality assured by the delivering centre.

Guided learning hours: 115 hours

Credit value: 17 credits
