Train The Trainer Teaching and Training Qualifications

These qualifications are suitable for those who are about to embark upon a career in delivering training, assessing and / or teaching . They are also ideal for those who are currently carrying out teaching and training, or those who currently have a training role within their organisation, and who wish to have the formal qualifications to teach, train and assess within their own subject specialism. In addition to our own bespoke ‘Train-the -Trainer’ type courses, CaterSafe Consultants currently offer and deliver the following accredited teaching, training and assessing qualifications:

CIEH Level 3 Award in Training Principles and Practice

This qualification is designed for learners who mentor and train others. It is ideal for those who are not currently in a training role, or who have just started the role; those already delivering internal training and need a short ‘Train-the -Trainer’ qualification.
The main focus of this course is on excellence in delivery to inspire and motivate learners. This course will provide the professional and effective delivery skills to use within the learning environment, and will help individuals to develop an understanding of how to deliver inclusive and engaging training programmes that meet learners’ needs. This qualification is suitable for both experienced and new trainers who wish to improve their performance and obtain a formal training qualification. The qualification is registered on the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), and has a credit value of 6 credits.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (Formally PTLLS)

This accredited qualification is ideal those entering the teaching industry, as well as anyone currently teaching, or wishing to teach, their subject specialism. The qualification is registered on the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), and has a credit value of 12. Learners must produce a portfolio of evidence that meets the learning outcomes for the units selected. They must also complete a practical assessment which consists of one 15 minute micro-teach session delivered as part of the programme, after which both tutor and peer feedback will be given.

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

This qualification is intended to prepare trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts. It can meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, including individuals who are not currently teaching and training, individuals who are currently teaching and training and individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a teaching qualification. This qualification consists of a minimum of 140 hours of learning, which include various written assignment tasks and a practical 30 minute micro-teach session. The topics covered include; understanding the roles,responsibilities and relationships within Education and Training; planning and enabling learning; understanding and using inclusive practices to meet the needs of learners; the principles of assessment and using various resources for education and training.This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence. The qualification is registered on the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), and has a credit value of 36.

Assessor Qualifications

Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

This accredited qualification is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment without any requirement to practice as assessors.This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence and has a credit value of 9.

Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF)

This accredited qualification is intended for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment.The topics covered within this qualification include; understanding the principles and practices of assessment; assessing occupational competence and vocational skills; knowledge and understanding.This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence and has a credit value of 9.

Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment”

This accredited qualification is intended for assessors who assess occupational competence in an individual’s work environment.This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence and has a credit value of 9.
