Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
This accredited qualification is suitable for anyone already working or preparing to work within any industry wishing to become an Emergency First Aider within the workplace. The purposes of which are for the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.
The recommended course duration is 1 day and topics that will be covered include: the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness and assisting a casualty suffering from injury and illness. The qualification criteria is assessed by on-going oral and / or written questioning and also by a ‘hands-on’ practical demonstration.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
This accredited qualification is ideal for anyone already working within any industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace, for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.
The recommended duration of this course is 3 days and topics covered include: the roles and responsibilities of the First Aider; assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis. The qualification criteria is assessed by on-going oral and / or written questioning as well as a ‘hands-on’ practical demonstration.
All successful candidates will be issued with a ‘First Aid at Work’ Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification.
