HABC Training Courses
CaterSafe Consultants are fully approved by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) and offer a range of Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) accredited HABC compliance qualifications, which have proved very popular with our trainers and learners alike.
HABC are an nationally and internationally respected Awarding Body and are currently the UK and Middle East’s leading provider of compliance and work-based learning and training materials. Highfield was started in 1982 as a family business by food safety expert Richard Sprenger, famous for the landmark book ‘Hygiene for Management’ and the Food Hygiene Handbook. From there the Company has grown exponentially; enjoying exceptional growth and is now one of the top awarding organisations in UK. But despite their expansion, HABC are still committed to the family values of quality, service and integrity.

HABC offer qualifications over a diverse range of subject areas and at all levels; ranging from basic induction levels, right through to advanced qualifications at level 4. Unlike the CIEH, (who have recently relinquished their Ofqual status) the majority of HABC’s qualifications are registered and approved by Ofqual . Ofqual regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England and were set up in April 2010 under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 and is also covered by the Education Act 2011.
As with all the Awarding Bodies which CaterSafe choose to work with, HABC have in place rigorous assessment requirements and very high standards of quality assurance (both external and internal), which include observations and audits.
